Virtual Smart Agent Review

By Mr Review On April 20, 2008 No Comments

Hello all.vsa.jpg

This blog post is about a new virtual agent software called Virtual Smart Agent.
VSA is a new advance piece of virtual agent software that does more than your usual virtual agent software.

If you don’t know yet, a virtual agent usually comes in the form of a chat box which pops up if a visitor decides to leave the website.

Here’s the thing about VSA - there is no human on the other side of the chat box. VSA is a "smart" agent that knows what to type and when to type it. It’s really cool.

I have it installed on this website. Once you opt in and try to close the next page, the virtual agent will try to stop you by either talking with you or offering you a special deal. The software comes with built in messages/interactions.

But VSA has something others don’t have. It grows smarter the more people interact with it. How? Well everytime somebody asks a question that VSA does not understand, the system will email you and let you know about a interaction that it could not understand completely. The system will then display the unanswered question/s and you can then add your own answers to those questions. Pretty cool hey?

I’m still trying to figure out whether this software works or not to increase conversions though.

I don’t know if this actually irritates my visitors or help them.
I will find out sooner or later.

Let me know whether you think this will increase conversions or not. I’m not sure.

Why Tracking Visitors is VITAL!

By Mr Review On April 8, 2008 No Comments

Tracking GeekGood day to all my readers.

Heck what a day it was.

I need to bring this to your attention in the hopes of SAVING your from an awfully painful fall in the future.
Whether you are a product owner or affiliate marketer, you just cannot go without tracking.

I have moved away from tracking in the past because I was a bit lazy setting it up.

But recently I discovered something that would forever change the way I go about my marketing.I was busy analyzing my new project’s sales page to see whether I could increase conversions.

I decided "what the heck" I’m going to install tracking to study the exact behaviour of my visitors.

Everything was set up correctly, the sales page, thank you pages, pricing…everything (or so I thought).

Then suddenly we got a surge of traffic after doing what I call my "Super Affiliate Social Effect" (SESE).
We got about 300 unique highly targeted visitors to our sales page in a few hours. Not bad for a sales page that didn’t have 1 visitor beside me to start with.

Then the shock .

ZERO sales.

I was stunned and just couldn’t believe it. 300 UNIQUELY TARGETED visitors and not ONE sale?
I decided to check my tracking software (kaizentrack) and then I saw that almost 70 people clicked the order link!

That left me baffled. I just couldn’t understand why a visitor would actually go and click the order link (after I told them the price already) and then not buy! Something wasn’t right.

Then when I checked my email I had several emails from potential customers who all asked the same question: "what is the correct price for your product? The sales page says X amount but the shopping cart says Y amount!"

HOLY SMOKES!

I went and checked my 2checkout account and to my surprize I saw I set up the price completely wrong.

It’s now fixed.

To think that if it wasn’t for that tracking software I would have NEVER known the real problem for my poor conversions! I lost an incredible amount of sales, but I’m just glad I could spot the knot.

Lesson Learned:

Do the same to your business.

TRACK every page you have on your site.
I use Kaizentrack, but I hear Adtrackz is also fantastic.
