Your Most Effective Affiliate Squeeze Page Tactic? - Try Mine…

By Mr Review On August 30, 2007 Under Marketing Tactics

In this post I would like to touch some areas regarding squeeze pages / name squeeze page and the methods to using them effectively.

While many marketers have found great ways of using squeeze pages, others still seem to fall short of this great marketing tactic.

Have you ever seen a name squeeze page?

During my years online I have picked up some really amazing techniques for making money with affiliate marketing.
One of them being squeeze pages. Not the squeeze pages themselves though, but rather the way you funnel visitors through affiliate links.

I’m going to discuss 2 of my coolest squeeze page tactics.
I use them to make AFFILIATE SALES.

Squeeze page tactic 1 - The stealthy bastard

  1. Find a affiliate program - it can be ClickBank, Joebucks, Commission Junction etc.
  2. Build a squeeze page around any topic - internet marketing, web 2.0, acne, skin care.
  3. Add your affiliate link in a IFRAME tag. Put the iframe on the squeeze page. Make sure you test the iframe and also make sure that the merchant doesn’t have popups or auto-play audio on his site or it will appear on your squeeze page.
  4. Promote "benefits" of a your product (don’t reveal the product to your visitors)….get them to opt in at the squeeze page and forward them to any page in the merchant’s site. Don’t worry…the iframe took care of embedding your affiliate cookie in their browser when they arrived on your squeeze page.
  5. Upsell them products of the same nature using your follow up emails or keep promoting the same one.

Squeeze page tactic 2 - The Army Knife

This tactic is very good and works well for products that have trouble converting.
It works in more than one way - getting visitors attention, pre-selling and getting them to click through your link.

You all know that a squeeze page can’t really pre-sell a visitor. It only sparks interest.

Here we go:

  1. Find a affiliate program - it can be ClickBank, Joebucks, Commission Junction etc.
  2. Create a very short pdf - the information inside the report should be something that touches the user emotionally. Here is a example: The very first page will have a picture of a person’s face filled with acne (this is if you are promoting a acne product). You will then have a subheading like "Can you think of a way to clear this skin up?"
  3. Hard Link the entire pdf document - that means embedding your affiliate link into the page. It doesn’t matter where the user clicks, they will be clicking your affiliate link. You can use Adobe Acrobat for this.
  4. Make sure that you write a good story in the pdf. It has to be something that conveys your anger towards the situation and then your relief due to a solution.
  5. Read the story with audio. Yep…read it. Record the audio and add it using Adobe Acrobat.
  6. Build a squeeze page around any topic - internet marketing, web 2.0, acne, skin care.
  7. Get the user to opt in - promote benefits of the product, but don’t reveal the product - remember to fluff the benefits…it works. (Hey…I didn’t say these tactics would be ethical…I said they would work )
  8. When they opt in, make sure you pass them directly to the pdf. What I mean is, make sure that when they go through the opt-in form, they redirect straight to the pdf (pdf will open up in their browser). The URL will look something like, http://www.domainname.com/file.pdf
This way the message will be in their face. Opening the pdf straight in their face will trigger attention, due to the audio in the pdf. Trust me on this.
  9. Upsell your visitors with similar products or keep promoting the same one in the auto responder.

I hope you found this informative.
If you implement these strategies into your list building campaign, you will see some great results.

Here is a few resources to help you get started with squeeze pages:

  3. Adobe Acrobat 8
